Prof. Saeed Hudawi

Dr. Saeed Hudawi Nadapuram is a distinguished scholar serving as an Professor in the Department of Islamic Banking and Finance, Yobe State University in Damaturu, Nigeria. Beyond academia, Dr. Saeed is widely known for his social empowerment work in Nigeria and across West Africa, leading the initiatives under the banner of the Iqra International Foundation (Nigeria), an Islamic NGO network focused on education and welfare. In that spirit, Dr. Saeed has mobilized resources to build dozens of new community mosques (on the order of fifty five by many accounts) and related schools and social centers in rural Nigeria. Each Iqra project – from mosque construction to sponsoring Qur’anic schools and orphan support programs – is designed to give remote communities vital services and opportunities. Nigeria’s Supreme Islamic Council even lists an “Iqra’a Foundation” among its registered organizations, reflecting the recognized role of such initiatives in national community-building.
